European gas prices

I received this at work. It contains some recent figures on where gas prices are in a few European nations and compares them to what we are paying here in the States. $3.70 per gallon (where I live) is not a lot of fun, but this does help put it in perspective.

Here in N.C. we have a really high gas tax. The price of gas has forced me to cut back trips to town to one day a week, which probably is a good idea when you think about it. I think sometimes economics forces us to cut back in ways we should have been doing all along.

Farmer's Market season has just started for us and we're a little worried about how business will be affected by the high gas prices. We sell plants and are hoping maybe people who can't afford to travel will stick around home and beautify the yards. We also sell organic eggs, strawberries, etc. and are interested to see if folks will have the extra cash to buy our homegrown products, which are generally better for you but more expensive than grocery store stuff.

It's an uncertain time, but seeing Europe's gas prices puts things in some perspective but doesn't make me feel loads better.

Oh, and I appreciated your stopping by my blog. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks No Country For Old Men was awesome. I was riveted!

Are there any countries that are lower?
And why don't we drill here?

But you're right. Very good perspective.

Saudi Arabia sells their's a little cheaper. And Kuwait. I'd love to see all of the people who complain about oil prices move their to fill their cars.
